Dear Friends, Members and Supporters of WCA-Texas, 

 

Having recently become an official 501(c)(3), we are excited to launch our first fundraising campaign. While we are very grateful for the $20 dues we as a chapter collect yearly from each member, we would greatly benefit from having more operating funds to do the following:

​

1. Subsidize memberships for those who cannot afford to join otherwise in order to ensure economic diversity

2. Enhance our website further to better serve our members

3. Increase our marketing efforts for exhibitions and events

4. Seek out more kinds of venues, including those with reasonable fees

5. Make use of a high profile curator and/or juror for a show

All of these goals require funds beyond our current operating budget. We have made the decision to open exhibitions sometimes to non-members for a fee and to charge members a very nominal fee ($5) to offset operational expenses and to begin building a scholarship fund for memberships. Beyond that, we need to turn to our members, friends and supporters to contribute a tax-deductible gift through our website which now accepts multiple forms of payment.

Please consider helping the Women’s Caucus for Art continue to grow and thrive in supporting women artists throughout Texas.
